MN Golf Show Recap

I enjoyed my time at the Minnesota Golf Show and am very optimistic for the 2011 Golf Season! I was honored to sit in on a panel discussion moderated by Greg Schulze with Mike Barge, Scott Dirck, Mike Turnbull and Jimmy Rockelman. The best line of the afternoon was Mike Barge’s response to how to motivate people to practice their short game when he said, “If you want to impress your friends, hit a long tee shot. If you want to take money from your friends, work on your short game (chipping, pitching, bunker shots and putting)!”

My friend Kevin Untereinner from www.TwinCitiesGolf.com will be hosting an event at Inside Edge Golf on Tuesday evening. They will be playing TPC Sawgrass at 6pm Tuesday night.

I’m also glad to report that my Coutour Putting Fitting System is in and ready to go. If you are serious about improving your game you need to be playing customized equipment. 40% of your strokes are taken with your putter and I’ll be writing about the factors involved in putter fittings in the near future. I’ll be doing my first 10 putter fittings for free and then it will become part of a lesson. Call or text me at 952/401-4653 to schedule an appointment.

I’ve been suffering from some back pain and found a pillow from www.MyPillow.com and will report on that in a week or so. Does anyone have one and have any feedback for me?
